Top 5 ‘Inconspicuous’ Al Green Songs
Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a huge Al Green fan. Anyone who knows me also knows that asking me to pick favorite songs for any of my favorite artists is difficult and most times surprising due to the fact that they are typically b-sides or unreleased tracks. Therefore, today in honor of the Reverend Al’s birthday I present my Top 5 list of ‘Inconspicuous’ Al Green Songs. Inconspicuous means hits like “Let’s Stay Together” or “Love and Happiness” and other singles were ineligible – not because they aren’t amazing songs, but because most people already know and love them. Spanning nearly 50 years, Al’s catalog is quite extensive, so it’s difficult to narrow it to 5, so feel free to share your thoughts…
